AC Odyssey PS5 upgrade. Hi, I'm thinking about playing Odyssey again but this time on my ps5. I read that the game got a 'next gen' update that made the game run at 60fps, but I can't find the upgrade anywhere. Is it automatically updated when I install the game, or do I have to select the update myself? The Series X version of Assassin's Creed Odyssey runs at 4K60. The "PS5" version runs at 1800p checkerboard and 60fps. The Xbox version is actually updated to be Series X optimized, but the PS4 version is actually just updated with a higher frame rate cap. As of June 2, 2022, Assassin’s Creed Origins will be 60FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This news came by way of a tweet, which stated that the moment fans had been waiting for has finally arrived. Assassin's Creed Odyssey will officially get 60 FPS support on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S through backward compatibility tomorrow, August 24.
